Austin Pets Alive! in Pflugerville, TX, is seeking a part-time Thrift Store Associate to support customers, volunteers, and daily store operations. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a positive, welcoming environment for shoppers and donors.

Shifts may include evenings and weekends; prior retail or customer-service experience is preferred. You will report to the Thrift Store Manager and help keep the store organized and inviting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and provide a welcoming shopping experience.
• Help recruit and onboard volunteers, ensuring smooth shift coverage.
• Support front of house operations and cash handling per SOP.
• Greet donors, sort donations, and maintain store appearance.
• Collaborate with volunteers and staff to maintain high store standards.
• Open/close store as needed and respond to volunteer requests.
