Thrift Store Associate

Role / General Purpose: This is a fast-paced production role responsible for receiving donations and preparing them for sale. Responsibilities include sorting, tagging, pricing, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. The role requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds, along with maintaining stockroom organization, ensuring quality control, and following safety standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Sort, grade, and inspect donations for quality and condition.
• Tag and price merchandise according to standards, meeting production goals.
• Prepare items for the sales floor, ensuring full fixtures.
• Organize items for e-commerce and clearance, labeling accurately.
• Follow safety procedures to maintain a clean, secure environment.
• Provide excellent customer and donor service, including accepting donations and issuing receipts.
• Support organizational goals through efficiency and productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule Requirements:

Flexibility is essential as the store operates Monday to Sunday, 7:00am to 9:00pm.

Health & Safety Guidelines:

This role involves handling pre-owned merchandise which may contain allergens or dust. Goodwill provides training, protective equipment, and follows safety protocols. Employees must adhere to safety guidelines and report concerns.
