Job summary

The JOY FM in Minnesota is seeking a dependable teacher assistant to support the lead teacher in the classroom. You will follow the daily schedule and classroom curriculum, help plan and lead age-appropriate activities, including learning, arts and crafts, music, and outdoor play.

You will help children develop social, emotional, language, and independence skills, assist with meals and routines, maintain cleanliness, and communicate professionally with parents about their child's day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Experience in child care facilities preferred.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in following the daily schedule and curriculum.
• Help plan and lead age-appropriate activities including learning, arts and crafts, music, and outdoor play.
• Assist with meals, snacks, bathroom/diapering and other daily routines.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization.
• Communicate professionally with parents about their child's day.
• Collaborate with other teachers to provide a safe, caring environment.
