Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Melt Shop Manager in the St. Louis area to lead an aluminum alloy melt operation across three shifts.

You will oversee a twelve-person team, ensure strict composition accuracy, and manage furnace scheduling and casting output to meet production goals. The ideal candidate has several years of melt shop or foundry supervision experience with an aluminum background, a proven ability to lead hourly staff, and a strong focus on safety and yield.

Qualifications

• Several years of melt shop or foundry supervisory experience.
• Aluminum alloy background strongly preferred.
• Ability to lead and develop an hourly team.
• Experience running a three-shift operation and overseeing furnace operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a twelve-person team across three shifts.
• Own alloy composition accuracy for aluminum (magnesium if required).
• Manage daily furnace scheduling and casting output across shifts.
• Supervise and develop shift staff within this team.
• Enforce safety protocols for molten aluminum and high-heat operations.
• Track yield and scrap for cross-shift consistency.
