Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Security Engineer to deploy and integrate our Threat and Vulnerability Platform across enterprise tools, safeguarding infrastructure and data. You will lead vulnerability assessments, respond to security tickets, and mentor junior engineers while aligning with FedRAMP and NIST standards.

You will work remotely from anywhere in the United States, collaborating with cross-functional teams and maintaining enterprise security visibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 4+ years of experience in remediating vulnerabilities on Tenable VM servers.
• 4+ years of experience in responding to tickets (ad-hoc scans, false positives, vulnerability risks).
• 4+ years of experience in reviewing scans and results.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud service provider security concepts.
• 2+ years of experience maintaining Tenable VM software and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and integrate the Threat and Vulnerability Platform across the enterprise toolsets (SIEM, XDR, Reporting).
• Deploy, implement and manage security controls to safeguard infrastructure, systems, and data.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and audits per FedRAMP and NIST standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security requirements and solutions.
• Develop and maintain security documentation including policies and procedures.
• Stay current with emerging threats and technologies; provide improvement recommendations.
• Review, test, and configure scanning and reporting results for stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior security engineers and team members.
