Job summary

Edward Jones in the United States is seeking a Security Analyst to lead complex alert investigations, validate incidents, and support real‑time decision‑making during high‑severity events.

You will gain a strong working knowledge of Edward Jones’ technology environment, apply this knowledge to assess scope and respond actions, mentor junior analysts, and ensure thorough case documentation. This hybrid role supports Tempe, AZ or St. Louis, MO offices with in‑person cadence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years Information Systems Security experience, or 5 years of IT experience with a focus on security controls and processes.
• Experience performing routine host, vulnerability, network, file, and log analysis from various sources to support incident response, threat detection, and hunt lifecycles.
• Experience documenting and tracking all security investigations to meet department, audit, and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, validate, and triage security alerts to identify and respond to incidents.
• Lead in-depth analysis of host, network, log, file, and identity data to determine incident scope and impact.
• Coordinate with incident response partners and technical teams to support containment and remediation.
• Provide real-time analytical input to leadership during high-severity incidents.
• Ensure investigations and outcomes are documented in case management systems for audit and legal compliance.
• Mentor and support junior analysts by reviewing investigations and sharing techniques.
• Maintain understanding of the Edward Jones environment and common attack patterns.
