Job summary

Lancope is seeking an Information Security Engineer to join the Threat Intelligence Team in Alpharetta, GA. You will develop tools to contextualize public IP addresses and improve threat intelligence, while ensuring data relevance and serving as a key escalation resource for questions.

The role emphasizes threat research, invention-to-deployment workflows, and collaboration with a global team to protect customers from cyber-attacks.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in Network administration and System administration (Windows or Unix).
• Strong knowledge of Internet technologies (ASNs, DNS, IP addressing, CDNs, etc).
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering.
• Knowledge of one or more programming/scripting languages.
• Experience with log and data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and ambitious with creative problem-solving and debugging abilities.
• Excellent teamwork and ability to work with remote team members.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage new tools, or existing tools, to provide useful context around public IP addresses within Lancope’s products.
• Maintain the relevance and accuracy of collected and contextualized information.
• Act as a point of escalation for internal and external questions about the provided data.
