Job summary

ThreatLocker is seeking a Threat Analyst to join the Threat Intelligence team in Orlando, FL. This in-office role focuses on researching and tracking evolving cybersecurity threats, malware analysis, and producing intelligence reports and blog posts.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Detection Engineering, threat research, and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong writing and independent research are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Information Security.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in malware analysis, reverse engineering, digital forensics, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with malware analysis and reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, Detect It Easy, x64dbg, Malcat, HxD, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Windows operating systems and associated forensic artifacts.
• Knowledge of persistence, privilege escalation, and defense evasion mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Identify and investigate new and emerging cybersecurity threats.
• Track APT adversaries and characterize their TTPs.
• Conduct malware analysis, reverse engineering, infrastructure investigations, and campaign research.
• Analyze artifacts and telemetry to identify malicious activity and threat patterns.
• Author technical blog posts covering malicious software and campaigns.
• Produce finished intelligence reports on campaigns and threat actors.
• Collaborate with Detection Engineering to improve threat detection coverage.
• Communicate complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide insights regarding product functionality and roadmap considerations.
