Job summary

ThreatLocker Inc. in Orlando, FL is seeking a Threat Analyst to drive intelligence efforts, track APT actors, and perform malware analysis and infrastructure investigations.

You will author technical reports and blog posts, supporting ThreatLocker Detect coverage and collaboration with Detection Engineering. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in information security, strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of information security experience.
• 2+ years in malware analysis, reverse engineering, digital forensics, or related field.
• Familiarity with malware analysis and reverse engineering tools.
• Experience with Windows OS and forensic artifacts.
• Knowledge of persistence, privilege escalation, and defense evasion mechanisms.
• In-depth knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Content development or technical writing experience preferred.
• Self-starting with ability to work independently on research initiatives.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Team collaboration across threat intel and related functions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and investigate new and emerging cybersecurity threats.
• Track APT adversaries and characterize their TTPs.
• Conduct malware analysis, reverse engineering, infrastructure investigations, and campaign research.
• Analyze artifacts and telemetry to identify malicious activity and threat patterns.
• Author technical blog posts on malware, campaigns, and threat research.
• Produce finished intelligence reports on campaigns and threat actors.
• Collaborate with Detection Engineering to improve threat detection coverage.
• Apply MITRE ATT&CK framework to threat research within enterprise environments.
• Communicate complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide insights regarding product functionality and roadmap considerations.
• Manage multiple research priorities and meet deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
