Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned security professional in Colorado to analyze and correlate large data sets to uncover novel threats and attack techniques. The role requires collaboration with data science, threat research, and cyber defense control teams to translate findings into practical defenses.

You will develop and document new threat hunt hypotheses and contribute to incident response and detection engineering efforts across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a technical security role (SOC, IR, detection, offense, or threat intel).
• Experience analyzing logs from systems, networks and applications for attack techniques.
• Experience with very large datasets and log analysis tools (Splunk, Python, Pandas, SQL, Hadoop, Hue).
• Experience consuming and analyzing Cyber Threat Intelligence.
• Ability to see the big picture across the organization.
• Ability to work across a geographically dispersed organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a technical role in Security Operation, Incident Response, Detection Engineering, Offensive Security/Red Team, or Cyber Threat Intelligence
• Experience analyzing system, network, and application logging for attack techniques
• Direct experience working with very large datasets and log analysis tools including but not limited to: Splunk, Python, Pandas, SQL, Hadoop, Hue
• Experience consuming and analyzing Cyber Threat Intelligence
• Ability to see the larger picture when dealing with competing requirements and needs from across the organization
• Ability to navigate and work effectively across a complex, geographically dispersed organization
