The Security Engineer will be responsible for deploying, integrating, and operationalizing the Threat and Vulnerability Detection Platform across the enterprise. The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills, be a self-starter, and have a keen interest in maintaining enterprise-wide visibility into threat and vulnerability detection initiatives. This role requires expertise in operating systems and software vulnerability management.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Deploy and integrate the Threat and Vulnerability Platform technology across the enterprise, connecting it with various security tools such as SIEM, XDR, and reporting systems.
  2. Implement and manage security controls to protect infrastructure, systems, and data.
  3. Conduct vulnerability assessments and audits to ensure compliance with federal standards like FedRAMP and NIST.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
  5. Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies and procedures.
  6. Stay updated on emerging security threats and technologies, providing recommendations for ongoing improvements.
  7. Review, test, and communicate scanning and reporting results to stakeholders.
  8. Mentor junior security engineers and team members.

Required Qualifications:
  1. At least 2 years of experience with Tenable VM software and infrastructure.
  2. At least 2 years of experience mitigating vulnerabilities on Tenable VM servers.
  3. At least 2 years of experience responding to security requests such as ad-hoc scans, false positives, and vulnerability risks.
  4. At least 2 years of experience reviewing scan results for potential issues.
  5. Experience with cloud service provider security concepts.
  6. U.S. Citizenship is required due to FISMA compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Knowledge of network concepts, Windows, and Linux OS administration.
  2. Experience with metrics reporting for KPIs.

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually, commensurate with experience and other factors. Benefits include comprehensive health plans, incentive programs, stock options, and 401(k).
