Job summary

Independent Software in Fort Meade, MD is seeking a Threat Analyst to assess risks to missions, personnel, and facilities by analyzing data from multiple systems. You will serve as the first line of defense, delivering timely, actionable assessments to support security decisions and mission assurance.

What You Will Do

As a Threat Analyst at Independent Software, you will analyze and assess potential risks to missions, personnel, and facilities by leveraging data from multiple systems and information sources. You will serve as the first line of defense in identifying, evaluating, and documenting potential physical security threats in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Your work will directly support mission assurance by providing timely, accurate, and actionable assessments that inform critical security decisions. You’ll collaborate with security and intelligence teams to evaluate incidents, identify trends, and ensure that risk mitigation strategies align with operational priorities. This position is ideal for an analytical, detail-oriented professional who thrives on problem-solving and wants to make a measurable impact on national security.
