What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor and detect security alerts using customer-provided data sources and tools
- Document and report on potential security incidents in customer environments
- Provide triage, analysis, and escalation of security technologies such as SIEM and EDR
- Act as a coordinator for urgent security events requiring response and remediation
- Research current threats and attack vectors to inform customers on best practices
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 2-3+ years of full-time professional experience in the Information Security field
- 2 or more years of experience investigating and troubleshooting enterprise-level networks in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Managed Security Service (MSS)
- Excellent time management, reporting, and communication skills
- Experience with data analysis using SIEM and other reporting systems
- Basic understanding of vulnerability assessment tools and contemporary security architectures
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with SIEM/EDR/UEBA platforms such as QRadar, Splunk, or Crowdstrike
- Familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 and common attack types
- Understanding of Advanced Persistent Threats and targeted malware
- Ability to generate comprehensive written reports and professional emails
- Previous experience as a point of escalation in a technical environment
