Join to apply for the Threaded Pipe Fitter role at Dearing Compressor & Pump Co.

Summary: Lays out, assembles, installs threaded pipe systems and pipe supports on compressor packages by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

1. Selects type and size of pipe, and related materials such as supports and hangers, according to specifications.
2. Plans installation to avoid obstructions and interference with other workers.
3. Cuts and threads pipe.
4. Assembles and installs metal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, copper, and stainless steel.
5. Connects pipes using threaded joints.
6. Secures pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers.
7. Performs air tests in pipe systems to check for leaks.
8. Welds pipe supports to structural steel members.
9. Tracks and records heat numbers from pipes and fittings for individual runs.
10. Will cross-train in other assembly functions such as set-up, welding, and assembly.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:
