Job summary

National Oilwell Varco is seeking an Inspection Technician for our Houston facility. You will perform visual, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, electromagnetic, and ultrasonic inspections per customer specifications and procedures to ensure quality.

You will set up and calibrate equipment, generate inspection reports, and communicate any production interruptions to supervisors. Flexibility for overtime and weekends, plus proficiency with MS Office, are required for daily quality checks and

Qualifications

• Think ahead and anticipate problems to prevent defects.
• Team-oriented with solid interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and some holidays.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Follow customer specs and industry practices to meet quality standards.
• Perform tasks safely following standard operating procedures.
• Develop and maintain critical control points for quality.
• Set up and calibrate inspection equipment per work order.
• Create and maintain inspection and production reports.
• Inform supervisor of interruptions or irregularities on the line.
• Adhere to HSE and QMS policies and report violations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
