Qualifications

Safety Officer - Risk Management - THPG

Full Time / Days

Work location: Remote

Work hours: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, with occasional travel within the DFW metroplex.

What You Will Do:
  1. Environment of Care Management: Planning, implementation, and management of OSHA, Life Safety, Emergency Preparedness, and related programs in accordance with Federal/State and THR guidelines. (30%)
  2. Education and Training: Educate, train, and coach facility staff and leadership on EOC issues, OSHA, Life Safety, Emergency Management, Joint Commission, EPA, NFPA, DEA, TDH-DSHS, etc. (30%)
  3. Safety Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze safety reports, conduct interviews with clinic staff and management, maintain documentation, and escalate urgent issues to the Director of Risk Management. Support regulatory compliance training. (30%)
  4. Committee Participation: Attend and participate in relevant meetings to promote regulatory compliance. (10%)
Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing or related field required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in patient safety, risk management, or quality, with ambulatory care and OSHA experience.
  • Licenses and Certifications: RN, LVN, or Medical Assistant upon hire.
Skills:
  • Interpret regulatory standards applicable to ambulatory care.
  • Strong communication and educational skills for interdisciplinary teams.
  • Develop risk mitigation action plans.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, MyRounds, RISI dashboards, and other databases.
  • Effective time management and workflow creation.
Supervision:

This position manages 11-49 people.

Additional Conditions:
  • Extreme Heat, Cold, Noise, and other environmental hazards (1-33%)
  • Indoor work predominantly (67% or more)
  • Physical demands include light work
Travel Requirements:

Local travel to clinics (~60%).
