Job description

Pharvaris is a late‑stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel oral bradykinin B2 receptor antagonists to address various forms of bradykinin‑mediated angioedema. By targeting this clinically proven therapeutic target with innovative oral small molecules, the Pharvaris team is creating new alternatives to injected therapies for preventing and treating hereditary angioedema (HAE) attacks, as well as other indications related to bradykinin B2 receptor mediation.

We are expanding our U.S. Commercial team and seek to establish our Thought Leader Liaison Team in the U.S. This role reports into the Head of Thought Leader Development, North America, contributing to team‑wide objectives while executing locally with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.

The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) is a field‑based commercial role responsible for building, managing, and deepening relationships with key thought leaders across academic and community settings within a defined geography. The TLL serves as a primary connector between external influencers and internal stakeholders, ensuring high‑quality insight generation that informs commercial strategy and execution.

Location
At Pharvaris, we promote and support a flexible hybrid work environment, allowing our employees to choose where (and somewhat when) they prefer to work. While this is a remote/hybrid role, candidates must be based within their zone geography.

Key Responsibilities
Thought Leader Engagement & Relationship Development
  • Develop and maintain KOL Engagement Plans to map influence and drive advocacy
  • Plan and execute a congress engagement plan with a focus on meaningful engagements with senior leadership and in support of marketing initiatives
  • Build and sustain trusted relationships with local, regional, and national thought leaders, including KOLs, academic investigators, and influential HCPs involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and advocacy of HAE.
  • Maintain significant customer‑facing time to proactively engage thought leaders in ongoing and future commercial initiatives
Insight Generation & Strategic Alignment
  • Generate high‑quality, actionable insights through structured and unstructured engagements with thought leaders
  • Translate field insights into clear, timely, and relevant recommendations for internal stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Patient Services, and Commercial Strategy
  • Support national, regional, and local insight reporting to ensure alignment across the organization and consistency with overarching Thought Leader Development strategy
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate compliantly with Medical Affairs, R&D, Market Access, Patient Services, Sales, Training, and Marketing to address customer needs, identify projects of mutual interest, anticipate market trends and surface competitive intelligence
  • Ensure adherence to all guidelines governing commercial and medical interactions; appropriately connect thought leaders with Medical Affairs or R&D for clinical or scientific discussions as needed
Programs, Projects & Speaker Engagement
  • Support the development and execution of advisory council (PAC) engagements in collaboration with field and marketing partners
  • Partner with Marketing to support speaker training initiatives and the development of the U.S. Speaker Bureau
  • Lead ongoing training and coaching for speakers, ensuring mastery of approved materials and consistent delivery of high‑value education
  • Participate in the design, development, and execution of advisory boards, including moderating discussions and facilitating meaningful dialogue
  • Incorporate thought leader insights into content development to enhance relevance, impact, and strategic alignment of programs
  • Identify and initiate compliant programs or tactical opportunities that deliver value to both Pharvaris and external experts
  • Support commercial fee‑for‑service engagements and needs assessments aligned with company objectives
  • Collaborate closely with Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance partners to ensure successful and compliant execution of all activities
Planning, Budget & Operational Excellence
  • Contribute to annual TLL planning activities, including territory strategy and prioritization
  • Execute projects with discipline, follow‑through, and a strong sense of ownership in a startup environment
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, etc.) preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of commercial experience in biotech/pharma, including at least 1+ year in thought leader engagement, field marketing, or related roles
  • Launch experience strongly preferred, ideally in rare disease, immunology, or specialty therapeutics
  • Demonstrated ability to generate, synthesize, and communicate insights that inform brand and commercial strategy
  • Experience working effectively in matrixed organizations and navigating ambiguity
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Comfort operating in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment requiring both strategic thinking and hands‑on execution
We are looking for someone who:
  • Is viewed by thought leaders as a trusted, value‑added partner
  • Provides insights that internal teams rely on to inform more effective strategies and tactics
  • Executes consistently and compliantly, with increasing strategic impact
  • Contributes to building a best‑in‑class Thought Leader program at Pharvaris, shaping scientific and treatment narratives

This is an opportunity to help build a Thought Leader function from the ground up at a late‑stage biotech with meaningful science, a strong pipeline, and a patient‑first mission. You will have visibility, influence, and the chance to grow alongside a high‑impact commercial leadership team.

Pharvaris is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this role is $170,000–$200,000 per year.
