Job summary

Biogen is seeking a Dermatology Thought Leader Liaison (TLL), Associate Director to execute strategies for our Lupus franchise. This field-based role in US Marketing works across departments and regions, with up to 80% travel and evenings/weekends as needed.

• Previous field marketing or related function experience in marketing, sales or an allied function preferred.
• Driving is an essential duty; valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record according to Biogen policy.

Responsibilities

• Leading cross-functional planning and execution of advisory boards.
• Capturing insights from targeted customers within the TLL territory through meetings, roundtables, and congress activities.
• Serving on cross-functional brand sub-teams to provide internal and external customer perspective.
• Providing competitive intelligence from targeted customer meetings.
• Partnering with HQ to develop promotional content, especially presentation materials.
• Managing vendor work (e.g., Medical Education Agency, Meeting Services).
• Identifying and recruiting KMEs for content development and promotional projects.
• Serving as the KME point of contact for international opportunities.
• Developing congress plans including industry symposia and HCP engagement strategies.
• Coordinating KME Executive Engagement meetings with leadership.
• Working with Program Operations to manage Speaker’s Bureau requirements.

About This Role

We are seeking a Dermatology Thought Leader Liaison (TLL), Associate Director to execute strategies and tactics for our Lupus franchise. This position reports into the Marketing organization and is focused on building, implementing, and executing field-based initiatives that support educational objectives and the appropriate use of product therapy with healthcare professionals (HCPs), their staff, and the caregiver and patient community.

As a field-based role within US Marketing, this individual will be responsible for activities within their assigned region, while also supporting programs across the country and collaborating regularly with internal stakeholders across multiple departments.

This position requires a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends, and up to 80% travel.

What You’ll Do

• Leading cross-functional planning and execution of advisory boards
• Capturing insights from targeted customers within the TLL territory, through 1/1 meetings, roundtable discussions, and congress activities
• Serving on cross-functional brand sub-teams to provide internal and external customer perspective
• Providing competitive intelligence gained through targeted customer meetings
• Partnering with HQ to develop compelling promotional content, particularly as it relates to presentation materials
• Managing vendor work as needed (i.e., Medical Education Agency, Meeting Services, etc.)
• Identifying and recruiting KMEs for content development and other promotional projects (i.e., video shoots, web content, New Hire training, etc.)
• Serving as the KME point of contact for international opportunities
• Developing and supporting execution of congress plan including industry symposia and HCP engagement strategies
• Coordinating KME Executive Engagement meetings with leadership
• Working with the Program Operations team to manage Speaker’s Bureau requirements (i.e., training, remediation, etc.)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
• 7 + years of pharmaceutical or biotech product marketing/commercial experience required
• Dermatology or immunology injectable drug experience required
• Previous field marketing or related functional experience in marketing, sales or an allied function preferred
• Proven ability to drive results in a challenging and ambiguous market.
• Driving is an essential duty of this job; candidates must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record according to Biogen policy to be considered.

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $180,000.00-$248,000.00

Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
