Job summary

Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center (SJHMC) in Phoenix, AZ, a 571-bed nonprofit founded by the Sisters of Mercy over 125 years ago, seeks a Surgical Complex Specialty Nurse Practitioner. You will provide specialized surgical patient care, collaborate with surgical teams, and drive patient-centered plans across the perioperative journey.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, assume clinical responsibility, and participate in quality assurance to ensure seamless care coordination

Qualifications

• Masters of Science in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Three years of clinical experience in related area or specialty field.
• Arizona Registered Nurse license (AZ) is required.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and perform physical examinations.
• Order diagnostic tests and establish diagnoses.
• Provide care and management for illnesses and disease prevention.
• Assist in admissions, transfers, or discharges and refer to specialists.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient-centered plans.
• Respond to acute situations in peri-procedural period and support complex surgical patients.
• Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement programs.
