Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Thoracic Surgery team. You will care for patients with lung and esophageal diseases, assist with chest tube insertions, and help develop a dynamic general care/IMC unit with teamwork and compassionate, evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Six months nursing experience or RN residency program participation.
• Licensed RN in WI or eligible via nurse licensure compact.
• CPR/BLS certification; ACLS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Care for thoracic surgery patients including lung and esophageal diseases.
• Assist with chest tube insertions in the unit procedure room.
• Support a dynamic general care/IMC unit with teamwork and compassionate care.
