The Carilion Cardiovascular Institute is seeking a Thoracic Surgeon to join a collaborative, high-performing team in Roanoke, Virginia. You'll join a collegial environment within the Carilion Cardiovascular Institute, where thoracic surgeons work closely with pulmonology, oncology, gastroenterology, radiology, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, and cardiology specialists. You'll participate in tumor boards, contribute to coordinated care plans, and practice with access to leading-edge surgical technology, including a dedicated, state-of-the-art robotic surgical platform located within the Cardiovascular Institute operating suite. This investment reflects Carilion's commitment to advancing minimally invasive thoracic surgery and supporting exceptional patient outcomes through innovation and multidisciplinary collaboration. As part of Carilion Clinic's commitment to specialty care excellence, you'll practice alongside colleagues in the nationally recognized Cardiovascular Institute, which brings together cardiac surgery, cardiology, vascular surgery, and advanced cardiovascular services in a highly collaborative environment. This integrated approach supports seamless multidisciplinary care for patients with complex thoracic and cardiothoracic conditions. There are also opportunities to teach residents and medical students through Carilion's partnership with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, as well as to engage in clinical research if that aligns with your interests.

Salary range: $577,700 to $837,400.
The posted pay range for the role may not reflect the full value of your total compensation package. Additional annual compensation from bonus programs is available, with benefits and pension completing the total rewards package.
