Job summary

The Queen’s Health System in Honolulu, Hawaii, is seeking an experienced, board-certified Thoracic Surgeon to join a high-volume, growth-oriented surgery practice. You will handle a broad spectrum of thoracic pathology with robust access to robotic surgery and collaboration with interventional pulmonology.

Inpatient and outpatient scheduling, with time allotted for urgent cases, offers a full-time, engaging role within Hawai‘i’s largest private nonprofit medical system.

Qualifications

• Board Certification from the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
• Fellowship trained in Thoracic or Cardiothoracic Thoracic surgery, lung and chest focus.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience.
• J1 and H1B visa applicants are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of thoracic procedures including lung and chest surgery.
• Inpatient and outpatient/clinic schedule with time for urgent cases.
• Collaborate with interventional pulmonology and robotics/A.I. enabled programs.

Job description

The Queen's Health System has an excellent opportunity for an experienced board-certified Thoracic Surgeon to join a highly reputable surgery practice serving the largest health system in the state of Hawaii.

This role offers exposure to a broad spectrum of thoracic pathologies, requiring strong technical skills across the field of Thoracic Surgery. The practice includes significant growth in both benign and malignant esophageal disease, with robust access to robotic surgery.

Surgeons will work within a setting of diverse and high-volume pathology, supported by an innovative lung program that integrates robotics and AI, and emphasizes close collaboration with interventional pulmonology. Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation is between $575,612 and $600,612 per year
