Job summary

Kettering Health is seeking a thoracic surgeon for a hospital-employed, 100% thoracic surgery practice serving the Greater Dayton area. This role includes performing thoracic procedures in the OR and clinic, with shared call alongside four cardiothoracic surgeons, and support from advanced practice providers.

The successful candidate will utilize Da Vinci Xi and Ion robotic systems, coordinate preoperative and postoperative care, and participate in 24/7 critical care with the team to ensure

Qualifications

• Completion of six-year integrated cardiothoracic surgery residency, or general surgery residency followed by a cardiothoracic surgery residency.
• Board certified or board eligible in cardiothoracic surgery.

Responsibilities

• Perform thoracic surgical procedures.
• Provide care to thoracic surgery patients in the operating room and clinic.
• Participate in shared call coverage with the cardiothoracic surgery group.
• Work with advanced practice providers in clinic, surgery, and rounding.
• Use available Da Vinci Xi and Ion robotic systems in surgical care.
• Coordinate patient care with 24/7 critical care support.
