Job summary

Kettering Health in Centerville, OH seeks a mid-career cardiothoracic surgeon with leadership interest to join our Dayton-area team. The program performs ~600 open heart surgeries and 180 thoracic cases annually, with LVAD/MECH device program launching in 2027.

Board certification and a CT residency track are required; H1B sponsorship is available. Leadership responsibilities include supervision and collaboration with APPs, performing complex surgeries, and driving program growth in a tertiary

Qualifications

• Residency in cardiothoracic surgery completed (6-year integrated CT or 2–3-year CT after general surgery).
• Board certification in cardiac surgery is required.
• H1B visa sponsorship available (No J1 visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Assume leadership responsibilities within the CT surgery team.
• Perform open heart and thoracic procedures in a high-volume program.
• Provide APP support in clinic, surgery, and rounding.
• Operate with Da Vinci Xi robot and Ion robot in the OR.
