POSITION SUMMARY

Radiology Associates of Florida & the University of South Florida (USF) Morsani College of Medicine are seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained Thoracic or Cardiothoracic Radiologist to support our growing practice in Tampa, FL. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the leading academic medical center in Florida (USF/Tampa General Hospital) with an academic faculty appointment at USF, collaborating with medical students, 32 residents, and 2 cardiothoracic fellows. There are also opportunities for leadership within the USF Department of Radiology based on the candidate’s academic experience.

This hybrid academic/private, full-time position offers standard hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a partnership track. Benefits include generous PTO and a voluntary internal moonlighting program that provides flexibility to moonlight from home without extra shift commitments.

Radiology Associates of Florida (RAF) is a leading radiology practice serving prestigious health systems across Florida, including the east and west coasts, the Panhandle, and the Keys. Our scale provides stability and flexibility in study mix and scheduling. We prioritize quality, practice subspecialty-level interpretations, and facilitate collaboration among radiologists. Our state-of-the-art IT suite includes universal PACS, AI tools, and integrated communication features.

Our practice is democratically led, with decision-making vested in the group. We serve as teaching physicians for the USF Department of Radiology in Tampa and staff the Florida State University College of Medicine in Sarasota, hosting medical students and residents from FSU programs.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Cardiac-specific experience is a plus but not required.
  • Candidates must hold a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree and be residency-trained in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology.
  • Completion of a one-year post-residency fellowship in Thoracic or Cardiothoracic Radiology.
  • Medical license or the ability to obtain one in Florida.
