This position offers a base salary typically between $140,000 and $222,000. The position may be eligible for a role-specific variable or performance-based bonus and/or other compensation elements.

The Oncology Sales Consultant (OSC) is responsible for implementing the BIPI Oncology sales and marketing plans to ensure maximum distribution and market penetration of BIPI Oncology products within BIPI guidelines, policies, and directives. The OSC will engage with key Oncology Customers, including targeted Oncologists and related healthcare specialists, and will conduct business proactively, responding to situational needs. Responsibilities include sales activities, strategic account planning, and execution in teaching and community hospitals, federal and military hospitals, integrated delivery networks, community practices, managed care networks, and other organized customers within the region. The OSC may require overnight travel and occasional night and weekend meetings.
The OSC demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of BIPI Oncology products, marketplace dynamics, and can translate this knowledge into effective sales presentations that offer customer-focused solutions. As a trusted oncology partner, the OSC supports brand strategies to aid patient identification and consistent sales. They possess a deep understanding of the oncology payer landscape, provide technical information upon request, and collaborate with internal teams.
The OSC develops strategic account plans to support Oncology Healthcare Professionals and account needs. These plans explore customer opportunities and solutions, identify key relationships and stakeholders, and outline activities to foster relationships and growth. The OSC engages in value-based discussions, supports understanding needs, and facilitates scientific dialogue to aid patient management and therapy decisions.
The OSC identifies key business needs within their territory, develops strategic plans, and involves internal teams to address opportunities. They monitor local market conditions, manage their territory budget, and support regional thought leaders and external experts to promote BIPI Oncology products.
The OSC analyzes territory data to optimize calls, reacts to market changes, and utilizes tools like Octopoda, VEEVA, and Multichannel Engagement to meet goals. They complete administrative tasks and demonstrate leadership by timely training completion.
The OSC maintains deep knowledge of accounts and marketplace influences, translating this into effective account profiling and engagement. They focus on providing solutions-based options tailored to customer needs.
The OSC understands market dynamics affecting referral processes, patient identification, and key stakeholders involved in delivering oncology treatments.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred. For OSC II: 5+ years of successful US pharmaceutical sales or relevant healthcare experience, including 1 year in Oncology, or 3 years working with organized customers. For Sr. OSC: 7+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with at least 3 years in Oncology. Experience in rare diseases and launch activities is preferred. Must be able to travel at least 25%, possess strong communication skills, and stay current with oncology science and market changes. Valid driver’s license required.
