Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus, OH seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (PA/APRN) to support the thoracic surgery team as a Surgery First Assistant in the OR. You will work closely with a surgeon in inpatient or same-day settings and perform invasive procedures with a high level of independent clinical decision-making.

This role requires SA/SCA with a supervising physician, adherence to state laws, and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• APRN/PA license in Ohio is required.
• Certification with AANP or NCCPA is required.
• CRNFA or RNFA credentials are preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Works with surgeon in the operating room as a Surgery First Assist.
• Performs invasive procedures with high level clinical decision-making.
• Must maintain a SA/SCA with a supervising physician and practice under state laws.
