The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of cardiothoracic imaging. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be American Board of Radiology certified or eligible with sub-specialty training in Cardiothoracic Radiology.

Teaching responsibilities may include daily clinical supervision of residents and cardiothoracic imaging fellows and lecturing to medical students, radiology residents, fellows and trainees from other departments. Serving in a educational leadership role within the division.

Clinical responsibilities may include interpretation of chest radiographs, thoracic CT and thoracic MRI. Performance of thoracic needle biopsies is preferred. There is an option to participate in the cardiovascular CT and MRI clinical practice. The successful candidate will also participate in shared after hour and weekend coverage.

Penn Radiology provides clinical services for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia Veteran Affairs Medical Center, as well as affiliated outpatient imaging centers located in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
