About the Role: Wareroom Supervisors are responsible to develop, implement, and supervise manufacturing operations to:

  • Optimize efficiencies and accuracy of manufacturing processes through daily material coordination (labels, corrugated, shrink wrap, etc.)
  • Ensure food safety and food quality standards are met as outlined by USDA, FDA, GMPs, HACCP, HACQP, and SQF levels 2 & 3
  • Monitor equipment and processes for opportunities to minimize downtime
  • Monitor processes, track product loss and waste and implement corrective actions, where appropriate
  • Monitor operations to identify and capitalize on opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Monitor operations and take corrective actions to ensure the safety of all Morgan Foods’ personnel
  • Monitor and track area efficiencies including; start-up/change-over, downtime, waste, and corrective actions
  • Coordinate staffing assignments and create lineups that ensure appropriate line coverage
  • Employees are only assigned to positions for which they have satisfactorily completed training
  • Supervise and direct employees to ensure performance is in accordance with Company and OSHA safety policies, practices, and regulations
  • Supervise, coordinate, and conduct employee training to comply with PSOPs and to ensure adequate staffing coverage to meet current and future department needs
  • Ensure employees are trained and perform job duties in accordance with food safety and food quality standards as outlined by USDA, FDA, GMPs, HACCP, HACQP, and SQF levels 2 & 3
  • Conduct labor and employee relations in accordance with Company policies/practices and the Union contract agreement
  • Labeling and can code verifications
  • Minimum operational downtime due to equipment-related problems
  • Employee safety

Qualifications: College preferred

Required Skills:

  • SAP user
  • Previous manufacturing work experience, preferably at the supervisory level
  • Computer knowledge and skills at the intermediate to advanced level with knowledge of Microsoft Office software (i.e., Excel and Word)
  • Intermediate math ability
  • Good communication skills (i.e., written, oral, and computer)
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem solving skills
  • Strong planning and organization skills
