Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist for a 3+ month onsite contract in Tucker, GA. The position is a third-shift, full-time role requiring state licenses and ASCP/AMT credentials as applicable.

The successful candidate will follow procedures for specimen handling, result reporting, and compliance with CLIA/HIPAA/OSHA standards while maintaining complete testing records and participating in safety trainings.

Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology preferred; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, or Associates degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• Foreign educated candidates must provide a credential evaluation from IERF.
• National certification as MT/MLT (ASCP or AMT) is required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting and maintaining patient test records.
• Maintain records showing proficiency testing samples are tested like patient specimens.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures and review results.
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.

BS in Medical Technology

Foreign educated candidates credential evaluation (IERF)

MT/MLT national certification (ASCP or AMT)
