Job summary

Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. in Austin is seeking a Lab Assistant for the third shift to ensure proper processing, preparation, routing and storage of patient specimens.

You will identify when corrective actions are needed and apply effective solutions in a laboratory setting with PPE and biohazard controls. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus training or experience in specimen processing, and strong reading, writing and analytical abilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong reading, writing and analytical skills required.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment (centrifuges, computers, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Ensure specimens are properly processed, prepared, routed and stored.
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement solutions.
