Our client is a dynamic and growing bank undergoing an exciting expansion of its Third-Party Risk Management program. As we expand our risk management capabilities, we are seeking a talented and motivated Assistant Vice President to join our team and help shape the future of our third-party risk framework.

Position Summary:

The AVP – Third-Party Risk Management will play a critical role in establishing and enhancing the bank’s third-party risk framework, policies, and processes. This role will collaborate with stakeholders across the bank to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risks associated with third-party relationships. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a build-out phase where your expertise and creativity will directly influence the bank’s risk posture and program design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the bank’s third-party risk management framework, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments on new and existing third-party relationships, including due diligence and ongoing monitoring activities.
  • Develop and maintain third-party risk metrics, dashboards, and reporting for senior management and regulatory purposes.
  • Partner with business units to provide guidance on third-party risk matters and support the onboarding and oversight process.
  • Coordinate with Information Security, Legal, Compliance, and other risk teams to ensure a holistic approach to third-party risk management.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to third-party risk.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, or a related field (Master’s or professional certification is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in third-party risk management or a related risk discipline within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory expectations for third-party risk (e.g., OCC, FFIEC, FDIC).
  • Experience with TPRM frameworks, risk assessments, and due diligence processes.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams.
  • Experience in a build-out or transformation environment is highly desirable.
