Job summary

Hollywood Feed Hudson Oaks is seeking a reliable Third Key Holder who reports to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. You will open and close the store, greet customers, demonstrate product knowledge, and help ensure smooth, safe, and profitable operations while upholding our customer-first policy.

This role requires open availability including weekends, ability to lift 50 lbs, learn the POS system, assist with deliveries, training new staff, and maintaining displays.

Responsibilities

• Arrive before opening and stay after closing to prep the store for business.
• Assume managerial responsibilities in the absence of managers.
• Greet and assist customers per Hollywood Feed standards.
• Demonstrate product knowledge to address customer needs.
• Maintain open communication with supervisors and coworkers.
• Assist with training of new employees and team orientation.
• Manage open weekend availability including 3 nights per week.
• Unload and stock deliveries.
• Operate POS system including opening/closing registers, creating customer accounts, processing transactions, and inventory counts.
• Participate in educational sessions and routine store maintenance.

Job Summary

The Third Key Holder, who reports to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, opens and closes the store, serves customers, and ensures safe, efficient, and profitable operations while upholding Hollywood Feed's first policy: "Do what is right by the customer."

This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $15.50/hr. to $19/hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Arriving prior to opening and remaining after closing to ensure the store is fully prepared for business operations.
• Assuming managerial responsibilities in the event of management absences.
• Greet and assist customers in accordance with Hollywood Feed's established customer service standards.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of store products to effectively address the needs of both pets and customers.
• Maintain open and respectful communication with supervisors and coworkers.
• Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team, providing support and training to new employees.
• Expected to have open and weekend availability including closing 3 nights per week.
• Unload and properly stock product deliveries.
• Obtain proficiency in operating the Hollywood Feed point‑of‑sales system, including:
  • Opening and closing registers.
  • Creating customer accounts.
  • Processing customer transactions.
  • Performing inventory management tasks such as cycle counts.
• Participate in all scheduled Hollywood Feed educational sessions.
• Complete routine weekly store maintenance, including restroom cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, setting up displays, updating prices, and related duties.
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
• Safely operate company vehicles and deliver Same Day Delivery orders in accordance with Hollywood Feed policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Must be 18 or older.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. overhead and stock shelves repeatedly.
• Can bend, kneel, push, pull, reach, twist frequently.
• Able to stand and walk for 8–10 hours.
• Can climb ladders often to access products.
• Meet Safe Driving Policy and willing to drive company delivery vehicle.
• Utilize company approved biometric authentication systems and safely operate company equipment incorporating biometric, video, audio and other safety technologies. Reasonable accommodation requests will be evaluated through the interactive process in accordance with applicable law.
