Job summary

Hollywood Feed in Birmingham, AL seeks a Third Key Holder to support the Store Manager and Assistant Manager. You will open/close the store, greet customers, and ensure safe, efficient operations while upholding our customer-first policy.

You will stock, assist with deliveries, train team members, and step in for leadership when needed. Early hours and weekend shifts required in a fast-paced pet store.

Job Summary

The Third Key Holder reports to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. The role opens and closes the store, serves customers, and ensures safe, efficient, and profitable operations while upholding Hollywood Feed's core policy: "Do what is right by the customer."

Key Responsibilities

• Arrive before opening and stay after closing to prepare the store for business operations.
• Assume managerial responsibilities when management is absent.
• Greet and assist customers following Hollywood Feed's customer service standards.
• Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge to meet pet and customer needs.
• Maintain open, respectful communication with supervisors and coworkers.
• Work efficiently independently and as part of a team, providing support and training to new employees.
• Have open and weekend availability, including closing three nights per week.
• Unload and properly stock product deliveries.
• Obtain proficiency in operating the Hollywood Feed POS system, including:
  • Opening and closing registers.
  • Creating customer accounts.
  • Processing customer transactions.
  • Performing inventory management tasks such as cycle counts.
• Participate in all scheduled Hollywood Feed educational sessions.
• Complete routine weekly store maintenance, including restroom cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, setting up displays, updating prices, and related duties.
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with at least two years of driving experience (including learner’s permit period).

Physical Requirements

• Must be 18 or older.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. overhead and repeatedly stock shelves.
• Can bend, kneel, push, pull, reach, twist, and climb ladders frequently.
• Able to stand and walk for 8–10 hours.
• Meet Safe Driving Policy and willing to drive company delivery vehicle.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
