Job summary

Holy Spirit School in Pequannock, NJ seeks a full-time 3rd grade elementary classroom teacher for the 2026-2027 school year, committed to Catholic education and the growth of each student across faith, academics, and character.

The teacher will plan standards-aligned lessons, differentiate instruction, apply data to drive intervention, lead daily prayer, integrate technology, and collaborate with staff and families.

Qualifications

• Must hold New Jersey State Certification or be eligible.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education required.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Practicing Catholic preferred.
• Commitment to Catholic education and school mission.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily prayer and teach Religion as part of the curriculum.
• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with Diocese standards and New Jersey Learning Standards.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse learners using whole-group and small-group formats.
• Incorporate technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Foster critical thinking, collaboration, and communication among students.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and progress.
• Communicate student progress with families and administrators.
