Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Third Cook/Special Order Cook.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Uses good judgment and consults supervisor when necessary.
  2. Prepares breakfast items, vegetables, and other cooked-food items as designated.
  3. Demonstrates knowledge of the organization’s Service Standards and incorporates them into duties.
  4. Attends meetings and in-services for food production employees.
  5. Follows established departmental sanitation standards.
  6. Utilizes all types of kitchen equipment to prepare food.
  7. Maintains open communication and good relationships with others.
  8. Plans work assignments accordingly and utilizes time effectively.
  9. Provides assistance and contributes new ideas to the department.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. At least one year of cooking experience as a Cook's Helper in a high-volume healthcare or large-volume food service establishment. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Knowledge of portion control, forecasting, ingredients, recipe adjustments, HACCP standards, food presentation, and following instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Culinary degree or certification.

Qualified candidates must communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
