Job summary

Ohio CAT invites you to join the Caterpillar ThinkBIG program at Owens Community College for a two-year paid internship. You will split time between instruction and hands-on diesel repair work, earning your degree while gaining real shop experience.

You’ll study the Caterpillar curriculum, maintain a solid GPA, and represent the company on campus, with mentors guiding you through progressively challenging tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required before program start).
• Basic diesel knowledge or mechanical aptitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and use necessary equipment.
• Comfortable using computers and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Complete the Caterpillar curriculum at Owens Community College.
• Maintain a strong GPA and graduate successfully.
• Represent Ohio CAT professionally on campus.
• Train under experienced mentors and perform real-world diesel repair tasks.
• Progress to more advanced assignments over time.
