Job summary

Techneeds is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II - Coating to operate thin film coating equipment and contribute to high-precision glass substrate production for displays.

You will manage sputter deposition processes, capture data on yields and deviations, and work with process engineers to improve efficiency in a clean room environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or coating environment or photolithography.
• Machinist or machine operating experience.
• Strong computer skills for data entry and analysis.
• Experience with optics manufacturing or photolithography preferred.
• Clean room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate coating chambers with precise configurations for sputter deposition on glass substrates.
• Capture, analyze, and report data related to yields, efficiencies, and deviations.
• Collaborate with process engineers to enhance process performance and troubleshoot equipment or process issues.
• Maintain equipment and ensure cleanliness and organization within the work area.
• Record data accurately and ensure training documentation is current and compliant.
• Detect and escalate any improper operation, malfunction, or defective materials.

Our client is looking for a Manufacturing Technician II - Coating to join a leading company specializing in advanced manufacturing solutions, primarily focused on defense contracts and high-precision coating processes. In this role, you will operate thin film coating machines, including sputter deposition systems and vacuum chambers, to produce glass substrates used in touch screens and visual displays. Your expertise in physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating, along with your ability to follow detailed procedures, perform equipment maintenance, and document process data, will be essential to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
