Job summary

T.O. Plastics is seeking a Product Design Engineer to drive thermoforming tooling designs and project execution for horticulture, medical, and industrial markets.

You will design molds and tooling, establish processes for efficient production, and partner with Quality, Manufacturing, and other design teams to meet timelines. Qualifications include a BS in Mechanical Engineering and hands-on experience with thermoforming tooling, ISO environments, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with Thermoforming/Tooling for In-Line, Rotary and Single Station.
• Experience in an ISO environment.
• Experience in Medical Packaging and Clean Room Environments.
• Knowledge of engineering drawing practices.
• Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Generate product designs to meet customer needs within the horticulture value stream.
• Develop thermoforming tool designs including forming molds and trim tooling.
• Establish tooling and processes for optimal equipment utilization.
• Drive continuous improvement in tool design and tooling optimization.
• Interface with customers during design and development phases.
• Lead cross-functional teams to meet project timelines.
• Support ISO documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Provide engineering support to multiple departments.
