Job summary

Placon Corporation in Plymouth, MN is seeking a reliable Machine Operating Technician to run thermoforming and related equipment on onsite shifts. The role emphasizes hands-on learning, problem solving, and maintaining production efficiency in a fast-paced facility.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year of manufacturing experience, mechanical aptitude, and strong attention to detail. English communication, independent work, and adherence to GMP are essential for success in this team-driven

Qualifications

1+ year of manufacturing or related experience.
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
Basic math skills for measurements and production tasks.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot thermoforming and production equipment to meet specifications.
Ensure efficient machine setup including materials, cycle times, and production output.
Inspect machinery and tooling prior to operation to ensure readiness.
Monitor product quality and identify nonconforming materials or defects.
Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and housekeeping tasks.
Complete shift documentation and communicate job status during shift handoffs.
Follow GMP, safety procedures, and wear proper PPE.
Collaborate with team members and leadership to resolve production issues.
