RailWorks is seeking a Thermite Welder to repair railroad tracks in heavy construction environments, reporting to the Superintendent or Project Manager. The role requires hands-on welding, track work, and rigorous safety adherence in outdoor sites across the Pacific Northwest.

Minimum 2 years Thermite welding in railroad settings, certifications listed, and ability to supervise a Welder Helper are essential.

Qualifikationen

• At least 2 years Thermite Welding in a heavy railroad environment.
• Thorough knowledge of Thermite Welding processes and procedures.
• Certified by Contractor Orientation, ERail Safe and Railway Maintenance Machine Operation.
• Experience reporting daily activities via paper or electronic means such as an iPad.
• Experience managing a Welder Helper.
• Experience communicating with railroad personnel regarding briefs and tasks.
• Ability to assess problems and propose cost-effective repairs.
• Ability to follow safety policies and regulations.

Aufgaben

• Repair railroad tracks in heavy construction environments.
• Perform Thermite Welding repairs using Oxygen/Propane cutting and preheating.
• Conduct rail cutting, measuring, removal, replacement and track construction.
• Perform basic track duties: spiking, anchoring and surfacing.
• Detect equipment faults and report to supervisors.
• Operate equipment per safety policies and regulations.
• Keep records and prepare maintenance reports.
