R.J. Corman Railroad Services is seeking a Thermite Welder to join our team in Nicholasville, KY. This position involves operating thermite welding equipment to repair rail and supporting the maintenance of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate thermite welding equipment to repair rail.
• Transport, operate, and service heavy equipment.
• Follow DOT regulations and ensure proper permits and driving requirements are followed.
• Maintenance, cleaning, and setup of equipment requiring use of small and large tools.
• Digging, hammering, and other physical types of work with various tools.
• Be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
• Communicate with team and supervisor throughout the job process.
• Other duties as assigned.

R. J. Corman Railroad Services is seeking a Thermite Welder to join our team in Nicholasville, KY.

Responsibilities:

• Operate thermite welding equipment to repair rail.
• Transporting, operating, and servicing heavy equipment.
• Practice safe working habits and ensure proper PPE is being used.
• Maintenance, cleaning, and set-up of equipment requiring use of small and large tools.
• Digging, hammering, and other physical types of work with various tools.
• Follow DOT regulations, ensuring proper permits and driving regulations are followed.
• Be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
• Communicate with team and supervisor throughout the job process.
• Other duties as assigned.

Specialized or Technical Knowledge, Education and Experience:

• Previous experience in thermite welding required.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, permits, and driving requirements.
• Must pass background, drug screen, and physical capacity test.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting 100 lbs. maximum, with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform digging, hammering, and other physical types of work with various tools.

Environmental Conditions:

• Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
• Love working outside!
