Job summary

Arista Networks is seeking a Thermal Engineer to address thermal design challenges for high-end switching products. You will work with Mechanical and Hardware teams to ensure thermal requirements are met across projects, developing test plans and fixtures and driving data-driven improvements.

Responsibilities include performing temperature measurements, assembling lab fixtures, and reporting results. A BS in Mechanical Engineering is preferred and experience with CAD, Matlab/Python, and air-flow

Qualifications

• High school diploma or BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) or Google Docs.
• Basic knowledge of tools (drill press, dremel, band saw) and electrical devices.
• Experience with 3D printers, air-flow testing, liquid cooling, 3D CAD, Matlab or Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal validation and testing for product designs.
• Develop and execute test plans to measure thermal performance of heatsinks and airflow.
• Set up airflow tests to gather data for thermal simulation and system impedance.
• Collaborate with lab technicians and engineers to troubleshoot issues.
• Document procedures and results to ensure testing consistency.
