Job summary
Dimplex Thermal Solutions, Inc. in Kalamazoo, MI, is seeking a skilled Thermal Analysis Engineer to tackle design and optimization of chillers and related products.
You will perform thermal, structural, and fluid analyses, building accurate models that drive performance improvements. Collaborating with global engineering teams and suppliers, you will translate simulations into tangible design choices, supporting R&D IP work and manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Thermal sciences focus preferred.
- Experience with FEA/CFD software.
- Experience with 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Responsibilities
- Use FEA/CFD or other analysis software to analyze thermal, structural and fluid flow problems relating to design and optimization of chillers and associated products.
- Develop analytical and numerical models of thermal systems including properties of devices and materials.
- Assist R&D manager with IP analysis.
- Work with global engineering teams to advance integration of new technologies.
- Identify and select suppliers for new product designs capable of higher performance.
- Run simulations to optimize design configurations for cooling applications.
- Interpret experimental results to optimize design parameters.
- Correlate simulation with experimental results.
- Support manufacturing process development activities.
