Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in the Orlando Repair Center is seeking a Thermal Spray Operator (Off Shift). You will read blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and equipment methods.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, plus related experience or training.
• Able to read and understand basic instructions and communicate effectively.
• Basic arithmetic including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates core competencies: action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, ownership.
• Prepare tools and perform safety checks on equipment and acid tanks.
• Load/unload parts into chemical tanks and monitor stripping.
• Mask parts using internal and external methods.
• Verify fixture setups meet quality standards for dimensions.
• Install, align, and secure tooling and parts on machines.
• Load control media or retrieve instructions; report errors.
• Set machine controls for spindle positioning and operation.
• Operate equipment independently and monitor for malfunctions.
• Handle hazardous waste properly, including labeling and disposal.
• Perform assigned preventative maintenance.
• Record and collect operational data.
