Job Description

Summary: As a Thermal Spray Coater, you will be responsible for setting up and executing complex Thermal Spray coating operations, using manual and computer-controlled equipment. A strong understanding of metallurgical and mechanical properties related to Thermal Spray coatings is essential.

Responsibilities:

1. Set up and perform complex Thermal Spray coating operations with manual and automated equipment.
2. Understand metallurgical and mechanical characteristics of Thermal Spray coatings.
3. Conduct diagnostic tests on equipment before repairs.
4. Read and interpret technical drawings and data related to electromechanical systems.
5. Prepare and clean parts as needed.
6. Support maintenance of coating equipment and systems.
7. Participate in team activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Adhere to work schedules and safety protocols, including wearing PPE.

Qualifications:

1. Four years of Thermal Spray application experience preferred or equivalent knowledge.
2. Experience with CNC or PLC controllers.
3. Ability to perform complex setups for Plasma and HVOF spray processes.
4. Knowledge of metallurgical and mechanical properties of coatings.
5. Ability to read technical drawings and data.
6. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and 2nd shift (3PM - 11PM).
7. Must wear PPE as required.

Additional Details:

Pay rate: $28.522 - $29.730 per hour, with shift premium for off-shift work. Internal candidates from Greenville will be prioritized. Benefits include healthcare, retirement plans, tuition assistance, and more.
