Averro in Merritt Island, FL seeks a TPS Technician II to apply thermal protection systems to launch vehicle hardware according to drawings. The role focuses on surface prep, adhesive or RTV application, gap filling and vacuum bagging.

You will be debag parts, perform second-party verifications and final inspections, and maintain FOD/tool control and 5S standards while using calibrated precision tools and lifts. 2-4 years aerospace experience is expected; A&P license preferred.

Competenze

• 2-4 years of aerospace manufacturing, integration or aircraft maintenance experience with bonding, bagging, adhesives or sealants; able to read engineering drawings
• Experience with torque wrenches, micrometers and calipers; able to lift 50 lbs and work at heights
• High school diploma; U.S. citizen, permanent resident or legally admitted refugee

Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a TPS Technician II for an aerospace launch vehicle manufacturer which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in aerospace adhesive application and vacuum bagging looking to further their career in commercial space manufacturing.

• Apply thermal protection systems (TPS) to launch vehicle flight hardware per drawings and specifications
• Perform surface prep, adhesive/sealant (RTV) application, gap filling and vacuum bagging
• Debag parts and complete second-party verifications and final inspections
• Use calibrated precision tools and lifts while maintaining FOD/tool control and 5S standards

Essential Qualifications

• 2-4 years of aerospace manufacturing, integration or aircraft maintenance experience with bonding, bagging, adhesives or sealants; able to read engineering drawings
• Experience with torque wrenches, micrometers and calipers; able to lift 50 lbs and work at heights
• High school diploma; U.S. citizen, permanent resident or legally admitted refugee

Bonus Qualifications

• A&P license or aerospace technician certification
• Cryogenic, fluid assembly or launch vehicle assembly experience
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
