Responsibilities

• Program and operate advanced vacuum furnaces to perform critical processes including hardening, tempering, annealing, and brazing.
• Optimize thermal cycles to achieve desired metallurgical outcomes while ensuring maximum equipment efficiency.
• Document batch records, inspection reports, and process logs with high precision to maintain full traceability.
• Monitor system performance and perform basic electrical troubleshooting to minimize downtime and resolve technical deviations.
• Uphold rigorous safety standards and PPE requirements to foster a secure and productive manufacturing environment.
• Ensure all thermal processing activities align with ISO, AS9001, and NADCAP quality management systems.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of industrial oven experience, including at least 1 year of hands-on vacuum furnace programming.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated knowledge of PLC/HMI control systems and data acquisition software.
• Physical capability to work in high-temperature environments and perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and bending.

Preferred Skills

• Active certifications in AMS2750 or CQI-9 standards.
• Strong background in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality analysis.
• Technical training or vocational certification in metallurgy or industrial maintenance.
• Experience with specific furnace control systems such as Centorr or similar HMI interfaces.
