Job summary

PACCAR Technical Center is seeking an experienced Technician to support engineering staff and test operations within the Thermal Management Group. This hands-on role involves preparing trucks for laboratory and field testing, installing instrumentation and data acquisition systems, and operating test equipment under direction.

The role emphasizes working with thermal systems evaluations, maintaining documentation, and continuous improvement of test processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of automotive cooling and climate control systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and install test instrumentation on commercial trucks for testing.
• Install and configure data acquisition and monitoring equipment.
• Set up test vehicles in the facility including dynamometer and DAQ.
• Perform pre-test inspections and data checks for proper collection.
• Operate thermal test facility equipment and monitor performance and data.
