Job summary

PACCAR is seeking a Data Systems Instrumentation Technician to install data acquisition equipment on PACCAR Medium and Heavy-Duty semi-truck test vehicles. You will work under engineers and senior technicians to set up transducers and collect test data for engineering analysis.

Responsibilities include configuring test control software, maintaining calibration records, and ensuring data quality. The role requires strong communication, independent work, and the ability to operate heavy trucks on

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in field test data collection.
• Strong computer skills using Microsoft office products.
• Strong mathematical skills, basic knowledge of electronics
• Strong Understanding of Metrology Calibration procedures
• Ability to troubleshoot basic electronic circuits.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to operate Heavy Duty Vehicles (CDL not required, training provided)

Responsibilities

• Specify, procure, and Install transducers and data acquisition equipment
• Configure and operate data acquisition test control software
• Operate heavy duty trucks on test track
• Prepare data for analysis
• Perform calibration of accelerometers, pressure sensors and analog devices.
• Maintain calibration database and other documentation
• Develop and maintain written process documentation.
• Foster effective communication and cooperative work relationships with other departments.
• Inform managers, peers and internal customers of work progress and issues.
• Flexible and willing to adapt to changing duties, activities, and priorities.
